Мы назвали этого персонажа: Вячеслав Дилэй. Его действительно зовут Вячеслав, и – вы угадали! – он действительно использовал в своих записях дилэй. Также он использовал перевернутые задом наперед песни с советских пластинок, фазер, реверберацию и сэмплер или лупер (один из немногих известных о Вячеславе фактов – что он занимался ремонтом японской и американской техники). Все это происходило, скорее всего, в конце 80-х или начале 90-х: к нам в руки его трэки попали на DAT-кассете. Их начали производить в Японии в 1987-м, а в США формат DAT пришел в 1990 году. Давний приятель Вячеслава потерял контакт с другом, зато каким-то чудом сохранил трэки, в которых слышатся пландерфоника и сэмпладелика с отголосками эстрады СССР, эмбиент, нойз, и вот-вот начнет звучать хип-хоп. Этот релиз – собранный из них коллаж, запоздалый микстейп нашего героя. Где бы ты сейчас ни был, спасибо тебе, Вячеслав! Очень странная фигня.

We named that person: Vyacheslav Delay. His name really is Vyacheslav and – you get it right! – he really used the delay in his recordings. He also used reversed songs from Soviet vinyl, phaser, reverberation and sampler or looper (one of the very few known facts about Vyacheslav is that he repaired Japanese and American gear). The whole thing was likely happening in the end of the 80s or the beginning of the 90s: we got his tracks on the DAT cassette. They appeared in Japan in 1987 and got their way to the USA in 1990. Vyacheslav’s old friend lost touch with him but miraculously saved the tracks in which we can hear plunderphonics and sampledelica with Soviet pop music’s echoes, ambient, noise, and hip-hop is ready to break in. This release is a collage made of them, a late-to-come mixtape of our hero. Wherever you are now, thank you Vyacheslav! Very weird shit.
